Masculine Decoration through Minimalism

Masculine interior design is minimalist, typically with a dark and muted colour scheme. For a man who likes to entertain the finer sex, it's a good idea to think about feminine sensibilities while decorating an interior. A woman can tell a lot about a man from the look of his bathroom, so it's not a bad idea to soften the decoration palette. Balance is key when it comes to bathroom decoration, so keep the theme strong but not dull. Chrome tap fittings are nice and masculine, and a chrome towel ring will match the fittings nicely. It might be nice to put a soft, chocolate-brown mat in front of the basin, and hang some matching brown towels from the chrome towel rail.

When couples move in together the balance will shift, but it should still be maintained. Designating a man-cave where the scheme is decidedly masculine is a good way to grant the man of the house his masculine sensibilities in a controlled environment.
