We have all heard of man caves, so why not a woman cave, or WoCave? as it is now being referred to? A WoCave? is a place girls can hang out with their girlfriends away from their fast-paced lives, eat chocolate and ice-cream before noon, and indulge in girl-stuff. A person could spend hours scrolling through Pinterest, flipping the pages of interior design magazines, and reading blogs for inspiration on the perfect woman cave. Real life can be an inspiration, too. A fun lamp or a great swatch of fabric spied on an outing can be the start of a whole new room.

On a competition website, women have been asked to design their own WoCave. Among the suggestions were make a cave rule that laughing counts as a cardio workout, and to settle disagreements with a dance-off. One site visitor said her ideal cave was a cabin stuffed with fluffy furniture. Another said lots of pink, decorative pillows , fluffy pyjamas, and scented candles. All seemed to agree that the company of girlfriends was essential.
