HOW TO CLEAN AXROMA® OUTDOOR FABRIC

  1. Remove all throws and accessories before cleaning
  2. Remove any loose dirt and particles with a dry cloth or soft vacuum attachment
  3. Apply an outdoor fabric cleaning solution such as Guardsman Weather Defence Fabric Protector and use as directed
  4. Alternatively, prepare a mild cleaning solution consisting of approximately 2 teaspoons of ph-neutral soap with 1 litre of water
  5. Spray the solution on all Axroma® fabric surfaces and clean with a microfibre cloth or soft-bristled brush, moving in one direction only
  6. Rinse off thoroughly with a clean, wet cloth to remove any excess detergent and allow to dry naturally
  7. Repeat the cleaning process every 2-3 months, depending on the furniture’s level of use

ADDITIONAL TIPS

  • Wipe down surfaces regularly to prevent buildup of excess dirt, dust, salt or chlorine, which may lead to damage
  • Blot liquid spills and stains immediately with a clean, dry cloth or paper towel, working from the outside of the stain to the inside using only just enough pressure to remove the substance
  • Don’t rub - instead, wipe down surfaces from seam-to-seam using only a light pressure to avoid colour lifting and to prevent stains from getting embedded due to vigorous cleaning
  • Clean the entire surface area of the upholstery to avoid water rings and stains
  • Don’t allow upholstery to stay wet - keep cushions out of heavy rain, clean spills immediately using the correct cleaning method and remove excess moisture
  • Prop wet cushions on their sides to allow easy and efficient drainage
  • Always allow outdoor furniture to air-dry completely before use
  • Do not use a hair dryer or heater to dry upholstery
  • Where applicable, fluff and rotate cushions regularly to maintain shape and increase longevity
  • Prolonged outdoor use in extreme weather conditions is not recommended
  • Cover furniture when not in use to prevent damage from inclement weather, leaf mulch, sap and wildlife
  • Consider furniture placement and avoid areas that are likely to cause excessive build up of corrosive materials

HOW TO CLEAN MOLD & MILDEW FROM AXROMA® OUTDOOR FABRIC

Axroma® fabrics do not promote mildew growth, however, mildew may grow on dirt and other foreign substances if not removed from the fabric. To remove mold or mildew:

  1. Prepare a solution of 1 cup of bleach and one fourth cup mild soap per 4 litres of water
  2. Spray on entire area and allow to soak into the fabric for 15 minutes
  3. Clean entire surface area with a sponge, clean towel or very soft bristle brush
  4. Rinse thoroughly to remove all soap residue
  5. Allow to air dry completely before use
